best HID kit for integra 96 USDM model
i am confused, i want to purchase an HID kit, but i have those round headlights, i heard these require a special bulb? i heard theres one bulb that has like a lining around it and one without... i want to purchase the phillips HID kit, but dont know which one to get... i want the one that shines really whitish blue, more white than blue... so which one is it? 5500k? and which bulb do i get with it? and also when i buy a new car and get regular headlight housings like on lets say an accord, do i have to buy a brand new HID kit? or do i just change out the bulb only? and how much do those bulbs cost?
whats the best place to purchase phillips HID kit for a good price anyone know?

i was thinkin about the phillips ultinon 600k d2s 9006 kit for my integra, i want that whitish blue output, anyone got any pics or know where i can get this for a good price? do phillips make the parts and other companys just put together the bulbs n stuff and call it there own? or are all phillips ultinon 600k kits the same? i mean same bulbs, same phillips ballasts, or is it different for each?

I have a Philips 4300K set and I am very pleased with it. Most car manufacturers use Philips kits in their OEM HID applications.
Don't be fooled by Yooly...Catz may be good but Philips is certainly not junk!

OK enough of the HID madness, let me clear it all up here
Philips does not make Ballast. They are made by Hella and then Philips puts they name on them. I opened up a philips ballast and Hella was stamped all over it and in the inside. Most bulbs are made by Osram
Philips/hella are not junk, some of the very best.
Catz did make them fake HID (Catz Zeta Kit) but now they make real ones too and I have heard good things about them too.

HID bulbs go for about $100 each online
D2R for accords, silver shield
D2S for Integra, no silver shield
Color Temperatures:
4500K: Bright White: Best light output and performance.
5500K: Blueish Tint: Slightly less output on a blue tinted bulb.
6000K: Purple: Slightly less output, but uses different gas to achieve color
IMO dont go over 4500K, you're paying for light out put, if all you want is color buy $40 tinted bulbs.
Ebay is a good place to buy your HID from. I have bought mine from there and so have a few friends. I have the Philips with 4200K D2S bulbs and very pleased. I had these in my teg and now I moved them to my mercedes, no need to change to the D2R bulb, it just makes it less bright if I were to. Hope this helps
