Default looking for a certain exhaust sound

Recently, a friend of mines took me for a ride in his new 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse, it was the 6V model.. and I heard his exhaust (stock exhaust) and it sounded great... it wasn't cheap and loud (like what you see on some cars on the street making so much noise but not going anywhere).. It sounded like a animal (tiger) growling is the best way i can describe it, and it was quiet but loud enough to notice it ... If anyone out there has heard it, you'll know what i'm talking about..

Anyway, my question is.. Is there and exhaust out there that can reproduce the same sound to put on my Integra (the stock one i have sounds ok, but I like that growl), or would I have to put an Eclipse exhaust on my Integra (which I don't think would work)?

Well you're not going to reproduce that sound unless you get a V6. Sorry. There are plenty of nice sounding exhausts for Integras though. A buddy of mine has a 95 GSR with a thermal catback exhaust and it sounds sweet.

Yeah buddy. Thermals rock. They have a nice deep growl. That's what I'll get if I ever decide to get an exhaust, mainly because its one of the only decent makers for the 2nd gens.

I highly recomend the Apex-i N1 exhaust. Thats what I have on my gs-r and i love the way it sounds. It's not a real loud exhaust; its more like .....a smooth mid-range sound (that is until v-tec kicks in, that is if you have v-tec).

I've heard the stock exhaust on the new Eclipses. I think it sounds mostly like the Apexi WS.

APEX'i N1 is one of the louder exhaust out there, all over the rpm range.

one good sounding, semi-qiet exhaust i've heard is the DC Twin Canister System. it is a knock off of the mugen piece. APEX'i worldsport is a good one too. and comptech has a good growl to it.

i havent heard thermal on a honda/acura yet. only VW's.

I personally love the sound of the Apexi Worldsport. It's deep and loud enough in Wide Open Throttle to know it's there, but not loud enough that at cruising speeds it annoys you.

The Comptech is an amazing system, but a little too loud for me.
