Ok, a while back I was having a problem where every now and then there was a slight grind when in reverse, usually mabie once a week. Well now it's more frequent and its an even worse grind, sounds and feels horrible, even cuts the cd player off for a second when it happens.
Does anybody know what could be wrong, it only does it in reverse and im seriously worried about it. 2000 Acura Integra GS
btw - I'm taking it to the acura place, its still under warranty, just wondering if anyone had any technical background and could guess what was wrong.
Only thing installed on the car is a Cold Air Intake, that wouldnt have anything to do with it would it?
THANKS

Could be tranny, CV joint, tough to diagnose over the phone. No, a CAI does not have anything to to with it. If it is warranty, who cares. Have you been jumping it off curbs in reverse again?

my CAI was rubbing my automatic tranny. when i shift, its made a grinding noise.
i repositioned the CAI....noise gone.
but mine never gotten worst to the point that it skips my deck. i would take the CAI out, and see if its still there....
if so, take it back to Acura.
