Probably a couple bent vavles. Defintaely get it inspected if you dont know how to yourself. Compression test is good too. Crower makes a cheap replacement set of stainless steel valves if you do need to replace them. Or if youre set with going with oem, the itr valves are actually cheaper than for the b18c valves.

well i think going from 4th to 2nd you may have been a little past 9k rpm cuz well at the time im pretty sure your full attention is not on the RPM....i would have it checked out
