Default difference in a 94 and 98 gsr?

is there any difference between a 94 and 98 gsr ecu? or are they the same? thanks

OBD1 vs. ODBII, OBD1 is suppose to be friendlier towards modifications

ok i have a 98 gsr that needs an engine so i can put a 94 gsr in with no problems if i have the obd1 ecu and everything else that came with the 94 ??

hmmm.... depending on your state, that may be illegal. In cali, you have to put in an engine the same year, or newer than the car chasis.... otherwise it should work.

It's illegal to have an engine that is older than the car.
