Default thinking of buying a teg...need to know differences...

94-97 or 98-01 what are the differences beside bumpers and mirrors?

also will 98-01 rear bumper and mirrors directly bolt onto a 94-97 teg?

also are there differences between the jdm front conversions for these two year models?

thanks all.

I beleive 95' and lower were OBD1 and 96' and up were OBD2. Do you know which kind of teg you want? LS/RS/GS/SE/GS-R/Type-R? GS-R's and Type R's are VTEC engines with 175-195HP respectively. The rest are non-VTEC with around 140HP

yeah man I know all that. right now whatever I can afford. LS/turbo or GSR/charged can't decide. I know where to get a 99 ls long block for like $800 with only 20,000 miles on it, so I'm leaning toward I high milage ls...must have sunroof, everything else can fall into place later. I plan on a jdm front and 98-01 rear bumper no matter what. also if the mirrors swap I'll do that too.

actually, the mirrors are different from 94-95 to 96-01. usdm bumpers and lights are a direct swap.

With the exception that you can't swap the rear of a 4 door teg onto a 2 door and the other way around. I think that's been covered here somewhere though.

if i were you skubb, i would do the ls/turbo, the compression is just good to push about 6-8lbs of boost. Couple of buddies of mine have boosted gsrs, lets just say, they are all on there 2nd motor.

I would go LS/Turbo as well. You can probably get an B18B engine cheaper, and they should be easier to find than a B18C because everyone and their mom does the Type R/GS-R swap. Good luck with your decision, and keep us posted.
