It will cost 5k to fix per 1 quote. (new hood, bumper, panel, labor, headlights, airbags).

and what if i fix it and its problematic.......I've heard that after a collision, car is never the same.

Anyway, now faced with the task of selling it to damaged cars buyers.

Any other suggestions on what to do with my machine?

Thanks,
Fess

It would be perfect for someone wanting to do a RHD conversion.

What's a RHD....right-hand-drive?

Anyway, I'm on 12 hour days doing VFX for the movie TRON Legacy.
Barely got time for myself let along taking the car apart and selling piece-by-piece.

I would be great if mechanic savvy folks would buy and give it some life. :irock:

I agree with Lynxs1981, looking into a RHD conversion on my 96 integra and it will run me about $2000 parts and labor. . . As long as the front clip is complete without the engine your complete front end can be replaced with the parts from the JDM front clip. . . would just be a matter of seeing the additional cost for frame swapping. . .

1st take apart the front end to see how much damage is there. . .

My girl had a similar looking wreck in her 03 eclipse GTS Spyder and when it came down to it, there was very minimal frame damage and a quick stop to the junk yard for a headlight and Cert-a-fit for a hood and fender as her bumper was salvageable and the car looked as if nothing happened, just black parts($180.00 for the parts). Airbags didn't blow though. . .

I got a set of airbags off ebay once for $80.00 shipped for a 95 integra, so shopping around wont hurt. . .
here is a link to ebay $90 shipped, black airbags and module. . .
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-95...Q5fAccessories

or separate like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-95...Q5fAccessories
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-95...Q5fAccessories
they are from a 95, but should fit. . . if not look for 2000 air bags, but should not be much. . .

Junk Yard is your best friend especially with the integra, it doesn't have to be brand new to work. . .

check around for a good frame shop and see how much just to straighten out the frame. . .

If not looking to go RHD you can also get the frame straight and spend the $1100 to $1300 and get a JDM front end(comes with hood, fenders, bumper, headlights, some even come with a radiator and bumper support)and as long as your internals are not totally destroyed, you may be able to have it back in good shape for $2500 to $3000 including paint. . .

If it is fixed right, you will never tell the difference after the repair. . . Saw many teggys rebuilt including mine(salvage title) runs great. . .

Good luck with what you decide, but if you are gonna spend $5000 to get it fixed, you can just buy another teggy for that price. . .

Don't fix it?, the wheel ain't damaged. just the front, but I think the frame under the hood is pushed in.

Today I did a inspection and started the engine, was running fine but smoke started to come out eventually..

I'm getting very worried.

As far as the smoke, by the look of the front end, the radiator is most likely in good shape, but it also could be shot. . . What color smoke and from where was it coming from? ? ? it could have just been some kind of fluid on your engine and when your engine gets hot it there is any fluid on it, obviously the fluid will get hot too and smoke will be the result of it evaporating. . . ever spill a little oil on your headers from the filter when doing oil change, i always get a little smoke from the oil burning. . . it could also be your coolant reservoir got crushed and coolant is on your engine. . .

Reaper....

You posted much info there. Tnks for that.

Regarding your first post. I absolutely do not have the time to hunt and piece together my machine back to working order.
I'm a novice on cars when it comes to restoration. I'll need books, tools and what ever else it entails to do the work.

Regarding 2nd post, the coolant reservoir did indeed get crushed because I saw green fluid splashed out on the front of the bumper. The smoke was white and not thick, just like something starts smoking after it gets hot, which is why it doesn't smoke immediately. After I let the engine run for about 8 mins it smokes.

Hey. . . That's what forums are for. I got lots of info for my questions, so just returning the favor. . .

Giving a little food for thought. . . .

You can be a novice and still get it done well, as you have a Honda. . . they are mostly plug and play and easy to fix, your biggest problem is just to see how damaged your frame is. . . by the look of the pix its not that bad, but you need to get the bumper, fender and hood off to see the real damage, but from what I see it may not be that bad, but definitely the bumper support is thrashed. . . I just wanted to show that it wont cost too much to save your ride if that is what you want to do. . .

If you are that pressed for time, then it will cost you more to get it fixed, because that is what shops do, they overcharge for labor, but if you can take a few hours and take the front end apart, that will save you some money, go to a frame shop and just pay them, when they are done you should have your important parts: air bags, headlight and blinker, radiator and reservoir, fender, bumper and hood. . . put that back on and in and you are ready for paint. . .

once you can get the skin off, a frame shop can give you an estimate on the work. . . All the other pieces will fit perfect as long as the frame is fixed right. . . If you can build a model car, you can take your teggy apart and the only tools you will need is a Philips screwdriver, and a ratchet with a 10, 12 and star socket. . . if you have that I can walk you threw the disassemble, its easy and will not take long at all. . .

you can even look on craigslist for a body guy( he will be a lot cheaper than a shop). . . I found a great mechanic there. . .

as for running the engine, just check to make sure it does not over heat, but the radiator is most likely shot as well, mine did the same thing when the top tank went out and had to be replaced. . .

Good luck with this project. . .

Yea, the radiator is toast too. I noticed in the pictures where it's leaking onto the ground.
