Default autoloc on 5spd g3 integ

does anyone have a 3rd gen with the autoloc? i was curious how you people would use it because the only solution i have found to put it on is by taking out the foot rest. i kinda miss it, it took me a while to get used to it. i wanted to know what all u other people have come up with if u have the autoloc. i want to put the foot rest back in...i got a spare one so i can cut it up.

I have used it for over a year now. You don't have to take the clutch foot rest off..it just takes a couple of tries and you'll be able to get it on and off quickly. It should be snug, but not tugging up at the clutch lever. You have to slide it on and then up so that the legs/prongs are above the rest...hard to describe but you'll figure it out.

It's suggested you use a pedal other than the clutch. A thief could pop-start the car and just jam it into gear without it.

It works fine, I understand that. I'm just saying you'd be better protected with it on the gas or brake pedal.

I put mine on by placing it above the foot rest and then sliding it over to the right. Took me a while to figure that out.
