agreed. it's easy to shift without using the clutch. i place mine over the brake pedal.
Now the car is even easier to steal...at least when it's on the clutch the thief has to bypass the clutch depressed relay to the starter...now he can just step on the clutch and start the car. He doesn't need the brake anyway...if he stays under 40km/h, the hand brake works just fine. I would say the gas is the better place then.

easier? in your opinion, maybe.

i don't know about you, but i'd rather have to force gears than have no brakes. i doubt he'd get very far with only the e-brake.

I think you are putting it on upside down (seriously!)...

The lock should be facing the right side, and it fits fine with the footrest in place.

mine must be a different autolock because the lock faces you...not to either side. i think it's a newer one. i have seen the ones with the lock that faces to the side, and i have tried to put mine in upside down...but the lock just gets in the way. mine is the autolock pro....if that helps any....
