Weather/Rain affecting my transmission/clutch???
It did it again. My tranny/clutch which is normal on dry weather is acting up today in rainy weather. What happens is when I drive in snow/rain, I go to shift and I have no gears- it feels like a mush box.. I try to force it in gear and it grinds... I swear at this point I can turn my gearshift in circles... so what I do is I cruise in neutral for awhile and I put it in third gear and it finally catches, and then from then on its normal. This happens only in wet weather, not all the time but too often. It almost feels like worn out clutch but it can't be cuz I replaced it less than 5000 miles ago...
What do you techies think it is? Is it a bad clutch, maybe I didn't break it in correctly ( i broke it in for 500miles) , or did my short shift install go bad when i had it installed at a import shop? I just hope its not my transmission because that will be major $$.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

well, wet weather shouldn't affect your transmission because it is sealed. the only thing i could think is that the water is cooling the tranny fluid to the point where it isnt flowing as it should. but tranny fluid isnt affected much by temperature changes. so, in the end, i'm stumped.h:
