I have a 2000 GSR with 73k that I bought from an Acura Dealership it has been burning about 1 litre of oil per 1000 kms.

I have been to and including the one that it is at now 3 dealerships and it is still not fixed yet. They have replaced the short block and the bottom half of the engine.

They are now dealing with customer service and their tech line and it is still burning oil after replacing the head on it.

When I get it back and can finally verify that it is fixed. I will let you know what it is as it may be the same thing.

Yes, but not necessary if your motor is stock. A head gasket is pretty cheap and easy to do yourself(If you have the time and tools) The hardest part is dealing with the timing belt. What motor do you have?

b18a i/h/e, chipped ecu, bored t.b., cam gears, 98 ls cams (lil higher profile)

about the manifold how easy is it to take off and clean? i was gonna do it when i out the t.b. on but i didn't have time i figure thius might get rid of one of the varicles. i am prolly gonna have things fixed in the next 2 months. when its time for the next oil change, then i will replace it all ;timing belt, water pump, cams, valve gaskets, cam seal, etc etc just wondering if it would be worth puttin on the gasket and new rings (does my block need to be rehon3ed when the new rings go in??)
