research research research. You can and should now more about the car than the salesman. Dont forget he/she has to sell many diff makes and or models.... you are only buying one make and model. Know how much the car is worth if it has high miles and how much it is worth with low miles. Look into consumer reports. Know what repair costs are. Look into any recalls (none on the 97 integra that I know of) . use KBB.com Edmunds.com carfax.com and as many webiste you can get your hands onto. KNOW ALL... BE ALL. You should always start the offer on a car at about 10% less than its ask value. dont be afraid to walk away and come back later with the same offer. Your in control.. they have to sell it ... you dont have to buy it. Also look into mods costs... almost all the model have the same mod costs... but if you really wanna tune it up just look into a gs-r (maybe a type r) if you wanna hook it up little as a time look into an LS... so learn the mod cost and compare against each other... again... know everything.

Couldn't have said it better Shingo...
In response to vteg saying buy a skyline. Don't get my wrong I love skylines but an R33 costs about 25k at least (that's used) to bring into the U.S. and change over to stricter emissions. The R34 is also a lovely beast but in the U.S. there is a 10 % importing fee that you're paying on a car which will cost roughly around 50-75k plus emissions and legalization. Stick with the teg hoac....
