Default RADIO codes for 2K GS

Man, this sucks. The battery ran down on my Teggy, so it was jumped. OC, the radio code needed to be re-entered and I couldn't find my owner's manual. Well, my stepmom tried to get it to work and didn't know about the security code. Now, I think, she is getting an error code, probably from hitting too many buttons trying to get it to work. So...

Could someone post the radio codes?

Is there the "enter 3 wrong access numbers and you have to take it to the DEALER" for reset situation on these radios???

It's the factory single CD in dash head unit, factory 6 CD changer in the HB, and the factory cassette accessory. I do not know what code she is getting other than ERR. She said she thought it was "C" followed by a number. HELP!!

when you enter the wrong code, it states error.

the only way to get the code is from the card that came with the manual....or the dealer.

some of the asshole dealers will try to charge you for it, talk to someone else or call another dealer.

They can do it by the VIN, right? They don't need to take the unit out do they? It's the factory head unit...

i had the same problem, basicaly the dealer around here told me the only way they can do it is by pulling it out themselves and looking up the serial number for the code. some people have been lucky and they got this done for free. i had to pay $27. goodluck

it happened to me before, i called cerritos acura, gave them my vin and they gave me the number... as far as the error code, if you enter the code wrong 3 times, it prevents you from entering it again for like an hour or two, i guess so some crook doesn't just sit there and enter 9,999 different combos until he gets it.

it should be on the bottom of the actual radio...if you take it out, you should be able to find it.

they usually need just the VIN. but some dealers will need the serial off from the deck.

You don't have to take the radio out!

Just lay on your back and look under the back of the dash, you can see the bottom of the radio, just get the serial number off of it, call your stealership. If they want to charge you, tell them to fuck off and call another one, it should be free.
