need some advice....
I'm new to this forum and and I figured this is the best place to get good advice. I just bought my car about 3 months ago with about 69,000 miles. I was hoping someone could offer me any advice they have on increasing the power of the engine since I don't really know much about cars or if i should even bother. I pretty much got a ricer right now: dropped 1.5" with the Type II wings west kit and an K&N air filter. At the moment, I'm looking at a greedy evo exhaust system and dc headers. I don't know what's best for my non v-tec engine: 4-1 one piece, 4-2-1 one piece, or 4-2-1 two piece. Ceramic, chrome, or stainless steel? Or should I stay away from DC headers entirely. Can anyone recommend good cams and pulleys too? Like I said, I have no idea about anything. I just want decent performance out of this engine without turbocharging it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated esp. if the evo exhaust sounds like a deep solid lawnmover.

1. welcome :wavey:
2. its vtec, not v-tec, vtech, vetech, etc.
3. you have one header :a:
now on to your other questions....4-1 headers are generally better for higher rpm power while 4-2-1 are more for low to mid range. ceramic will keep your underhood temps down but the coating tends to flake off after awhile. stainless wont rust but usually costs more. chrome is too bling. the evo is a good system. it has a nice deep sound at idle. as for cams, try www.crower.com and pulleys generally dont do anything for honda engines.

Snoopy answered most of your questions.
You may want to look into the Apexi Worldsport Cat-Back Exhaust System's as well. They are a nice quiet exhaust (nearly stock) and still have very very nice flow. IMO the nicest exhaust out there for an Integra with minimal or even medium mods.
Also, personal choice, I prefer the Comptech 4-2-1 header over a DC Sports, and a GReddy Stainless over a DC Sports as well. Just for mere looks, quality, and lack of cracking with the other two.

thanks for the advice .... i'll look into the greddy header (I think the Comptech would break my bank ) ... at the moment I'm looking at the evo exhaust at a cost of $442 - i think it's not a bad deal since i think it retails for around $600. Do you guys know if AEM cam gears are worth the purchase? How bout MSD ignition wires and what size? and if anyone knows anymore mods that I could do to increase performance it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the input .... and pls keep it coming!
