I know. It's the same weight and can perform the same function for a short time, but doesn't have the additives required to protect your transmission's components from wear.

Yup, exactly. It is definitely designed for Honda MTF and the Engine Oil replacement is only supposed to be used as a temporary replacement in case of an emergency.

In any case, go get some damn Honda MTF (not Redline either) and change that ish!

I'm not sure if this is related, but when I start off in first and shift to second, I get a screaching sound. I'm not exactly sure what's causing it, but it's really anoying. I thought it might be my belts, so I had them changed, but still have the problem. I'm gonna get the transmission fluid tomorrow and see if that solves the grinding problem. Any solutions or ideas will be appreciated. And thanks to all that replied!

While we're on the topic, I was wondering if anyone knows if a turbo kit coming from early 90s eclipse would do any justice on my 94 integra ls engine. Excluding the grinding problem! I also have a 97 gsr clutch that I plan on using. Any thoughts or ideas, please feel free to speak your mind!

I heard Redline MTL is actually good or better than Honda MTF for Honda trannies. But I've never tried it, so I am not speaking from experience.

You can do searches on the boards about used turbos from diff cars, theres countless threads on em.. but from what i hear, older eclipses turbos work ok on integras...

My 90 GS sometimes won't even go into first or second gear. I have to fugging slam it. Also it grinds majorly sometimes even when the clutch is fully engaged. Not sure what the problem is, but I'll be taking it to a mechanic on Tuesday to see what he thinks. Either way, I'm trying to use this as a way for my mom to lend me money for an ACT HDSS

Sounds more like you should ask for a new transmission with the way you've been treating it.

Check out the latest edition of Honda Tuning. I believe they do a junkyard boost segment on mating a Mitsubishi turbo to a Honda.
