I would advise in a rear sway/tie combo before the rear strut tower; you'll notice a MUCH larger difference with the sway/tie.

And that's a good thing? Regardless, I still want one. I'd imagine the oversteer/understeer can be controlled by the sway bar diameters? Man I need to read up on this ish.

Get a Tanabe, it's only a hundred bucks and still plenty nice.

Dude, just save your money! The rear strut brace doesn't do much and I darn anyone here who has it installed can honestly say that they felt a difference. Save your money and take your girl out or treat your homies out for a few round of drinks.

From what I've heard, the rear strut tower does very little to stiffen the rear of your car...so I personally don't think it's worth getting. I would agree with TonyT; I don't know how people on here can say the car rotated THAT much better with just a rear strut, because honestly it doesn't do all that much. You probably won't notice a difference at all on public roads.
But it does look good in the trunk h:

No, the shock (we don't have struts) towers don't do much to stiffen up the overall structure of the car. The sheetmetal isn't that thick though and can flex a bit which causes deflection of the suspension. Sticking a bar on helps get rid of the deflection.
Of course most people won't be able to notice the difference and are just convincing themselves that something about the car is different...but it does have a functional purpose.

ant...also think about looking into doing the ITR trunk brace. That really helps keep the rear following suit of the front. My rear strut bar is just some ebay thing. If it works, I don't know. Like Mike said, you wont really notice that bar (or the rear tie bar for that matter) making a difference.
DIY Trunk Brace (here's mine). This, I REALLY noticed a difference:
**EDIT: that bar above cost me about $12 in materials, and 45 minutes of labor - not too shabby!
