I've got a 2001 GSR and love it, I have had about 9 cars in 3 years and all have been swapped honda/acura. I am very pleased w/ my gezerz abilities and it is a fun car to drive, no type r but black leather loves me, an not to get into a pissing match but the 94-98 stock GT 5 speeds aren't THAT much faster than a stock 94-01 GSR...I think it's w/ in 1/2 sec in the 1/4. I drive 80mph to work, live an hour away, put almost 1000miles a week on my car, dog it here and there and I STILL get 27-30 mpg. You won't find a V8 doing that.

94-98 are slow.... but 99+ stangs will smoke a stock gsr =\ but yeah more bang for ur buck.... how much do u have to spend anyways?

Toyotas are actually more reliable on average than Hondas... but not by much. You really can't compare either to even the best american cars.

You need a Lexus.

I had a 94 Celica.. at 115,000 head gasket went. My buddy has a 2000 Celica GTS, bent a rod got it fixed and engine is still ticking weird. There no engines out there that you can beat on as hard and still get a smile from at the end of the day. Reliability, Performance and joy to drive.

Now DRY up you damn 2 feet of snow I have outside, so I can take my GSR for a jog around the block!

Hehe... I knew that would piss someone off. I love my Acura- but Toyota wrote the book in quality manufacturing however.(Literally... we studied that **** in school.. Demming, Ohno, "Toyota production system" etc...) All manufacturers have cars that aren't up to par- look at all the V6 transmissions that Honda has replaced. Even with these mistakes hondas are better than 95% of cars on the road.

Honestly, Toyota and Honda make the most reliable engines. However, while both are the most reliable engines you can get, toyaota engines are a liiittle bit more reliable, while honda engines are a little more performance oriented.

Toyota is also more expensive to repair. Replacement Integra parts are a dime a dozen.

If you want luxury and performance, go straight for the GSR. The R doesn't have leather... which you appear to like, and is a little more spartan in general. I loved my GSR.

i got a 94 GSR, over 130k miles, runs like new, no noises, nothing wrong, never given me any problems and still runs like a bat outta hell when i need it to..i wasnt actually in the market for one, but when we got a trade at the dealership i work at and the manager who im friends with gave it to me for 2500, i couldnt pass it up, and im glad as hell i didnt:thumbup:

:werd: indeed. The LS & GS Integras have a fairly decent amount of torque for their displacement; I actually prefer the longer- legged gearing, since I average 80+ on the freeway. :naughty: Insurance is also cheaper, at least here in Cali.

The RS (base) Integra was the only model without a sunroof as standard though. If you're worried about headroom, I'm 6'2" and fit fine. The sunroof panel slides up and ouside the roof, rather than retracting into it.

I too crossed over from muscle cars to imports last june. I previosly owned a 98 camaro z28-m6 and damn was it fast but it wasnt worth the money. I blew the rear axle assemly and needed to replace the traction controll, that was a nice 2k bill. I wanted a japanese car and always thought the tegs looked good so ever since ive owned mine since last june ive been nothing but satisfied and dont have any plans on getting rid of it. i love it.
