u also have to remember that integras arnt exactly the fastest cars.. comparing a stock GSR to a stock 99-2002 mustang GT, its not even close in the low rpm range BUT the gsr has GREAT handling and if u do drive a type R u will REALY be impressed with the handling and the 200hp.... but for luxury ur right the GSR will more than cut it.. and dont be afraid to rev it up every now and then if u do get a GSR... vtec is there for a reason .... i have a 94 integra GSR and wouldnt trade it for any mustang or z28 ect.... test drive a couple different models to see if ur happy with the performance...

i had a 94 gs-r and now have a 90 LS.... while the LS is nowhere near as spirited, responsive, or comfortable as the GS-R was, it is still a hell of a car and a lot of fun to drive. I wouldnt count the LS/GS/SE out if you are unsure about spending money on the GS-R/Type R

All true statements...........Having owned an LS before my Gs-R, I can definetely tell you that in order to enjoy the benefits of the GS-R, you cannot be afraid to rev the engine ( american motors do not take well to high revving, so this might be a little new for ya j/k). The LS is a hell of a car also, nice response, especially low in the rpm range.
All things said, If you are looking for a car that is feared by a good number of cars at the race track and on road courses, but dont want to slack on luxury, and you have a little extra $$ to spend, GS-R is the car for you. You just want something to drive around in, and you are looking for some nice pep, an LS will do just fine.

the car that is most fun to drive is by far the Type R. It is noticably louder inside the cabin due to the lack of sound deadening. it has revised suspension over the gs-r, and more power. inside it has many of the same features as the gs-r except sunroof, cruise control, and leather. but the Type R interior is still really nice with the suede recaros.

i have a 1995 gs-r, cloth interior. i love it to death.

yea i have a gsr.. i normally get tired of driving cars.. but dang.. im still enjoying the ride on my baby.. eventho it has modified suspension, its still fun as hell to drive stock.. :wavey:

I used to be a big domestic fan. J-bodies and F-bodies mostly.

One thing you mentioned was the "Smile Factor" I remember when I first test drove my GS-R all I did was smile the whole time.

It's very reliable, easy on gas, I fit my whole dorm room in there, and on the weekend it loves to go running

The only complaint I have these days is that it's not RWD, but what can ya do?

Like Booty said, get rid of the stock tires. Those things are an accident waiting to happen.

i used to be a big fan of mustangs(i am still). way back, after i wracked my 92 lx 5.0(auto), i was looking for 95 mustang gt, but the insurance didn't allow me.. so i ended up getting used 94 gs-r.. boy, i'm glad i made that choice. i pretty much had issues with my old stang, but up to this date, my gs-r with more 130k miles, never gave me a trouble.. reliable, economical, good looks, value and screaming vtec. i don't think you will be disappointed..

I'm the same way and I've owned quite a few cars, and some beaters as well. It's really sad, but the most fun I ever had in a car was a 1984 Nissan 200SX (it was new at the time) It handled well for the time. (grin)

I don't think so either. From what i've read, scanning different forums left and right, it seems quite normal for these cars to get 130,000-170,000 miles on them. That says 2 things in my opinion.[/quote]

#1, these cars really last.

#2, people LOVE to drive them!

and that's good enough for me. I will also keep my eye out for the other models, but I think i'm going with the GS-R when the time comes, if it's possible.

170,000 miles if you dont take that good care of it. there is an 87 integra that goes to an acura dealership back home. over 350k miles on it. original engine, 3rd clutch. gets the oil change every 2750 to 3000 mile religously, and it only burns a quart in that time.
