Why would you spend that much money on wheels and get crappy tires to go on them? I would recommend the Yokohama AVS ES100s, I just went through a set and they handle very well, ride very nice, and are a great price.

I saw this thread and thought, "I thought Diabolik got a set of SSR Comps?" Until I saw the date of the original thread...

How long were the AVS ES 100's were supposed to last? Isn't the treadwear rating on those like 280? I was thinking of getting a set but was reluctant to get anything less than 300 for my daily driver wheels...

I've got Bridgestone POtenza re730. Fairly good tires in the dry, and really good in the wet. I paid $95 / tire and are supposed to last pretty long. Of course, tread life is dependent upon how you drive as well. Other than that, I'd recommend the re730. You can get them at Costco for cheap too.

If you have money to burn, I'd got with the S-03's. Toyo isn't a bad set either.. I've never had any problems with my previous toyo proxes
