Why did you waste your money buying a b18c5 just to turbocharge it? Lower the compression.

(For the record i am against turbo b18c5's)

yeah the b18c5 is meant to be n/a. instead of going turbo, build it to be an all motor beast.

it was just an option i was thinkin about but then what should i do next its basically stock with just a short ram intake and an exhaust. but what im having problems with is that whenever i hit vtec it doesnt seem to go. it works when its cold but when it warms up it doesnt work. what do u guys think the problem is its not the clutch and i thought it was the ecu but i just got a 95 gsr ecu and its still not workin.

VTEC should work when it is warm, not when the engine is cold. You should really get an ECU from an R. It is probably something to do with the ECU.

If you're running a B18C5, why would you run a B18C1 computer?

I'd stay N/A with it personally, I am with mine. If you're intent on forced induction, I'd say go for a Jackson Racing Supercharger. the C5 gets nice with them

1. Get a Type-R ECU or AEM EMS, Hondata, etc.

2. Throttle body and Cat

3. Headwork...cams, cam gears, valves, springs, retainers, port polish.

Good luck

Your VTEC isn't going to work without the ECU. What do you think changes the cam profiles? An intelligent hamster living under your valve cover?

Everybody and their hybrids these days... I wonder how many of us true R owners there are left out there and who post regularly in here, on honda-tech, itrca.com et al *sigh*
