Default tps sensor

hello I did engine swap on my 98 integra. I put in used B18b with low miles. I broke my tps sensor when I was putting in my engine now there telling me I need to buy a whole new throttle body. my question is would I mess up my car if I drive without out it and what are the effects of driving with out one.

I don't think the car is going to even run without a TPS sensor.

You have drill out the rivets and put a new on on. It's not a problem.

the car runs the only think is that the gears go in ruff its an automatic. I don't if that's the tps sensor. I took it to the shop to see if they can drill it out and they said they can't that I need a new throttle body. dose the tps have anything to do with the tranny

Wait.. The TPS sensor unscrews. You're talking about the MAP sensor. In that case, you do need a new TB.

It's the sensor on the top of the TB right?

tps = throttle position sensor

it does what its name inmplies. it tells the ECU how much throttle input you're giving it.
