R/R of headlight/turn signal stalk...
I have a Haynes manual that pretty much says that the left side of the lower dash and the console must be removed to remove the steering column cover to dhange a headlight/turn signal switch.....is this for real? What's a "ballpark" figure for a new switch and having a professional do this? Anyone change one of these before? The headlights go off for no (apparent) reason, then come back on when the hi-low beams are "played with"....or sometimes not at all.

i think approximately 150. thats what i was quoted for my GF's CRV for a new stalk...but this was a while ago, and at an independent shop.

That sounds....hopeful. I have my car serviced by a factory trained, independent shop but on my old Civic I changed out the windsheild washer control stalk myself. Man...the old Civics were SOOOOO easy to work on yourself. The Civic's washer switch was about $50 or $60 (no rear wiper control), so I'm guessing the headlight/turn signal control for the 2nd gen Integra is around $80 or $90 with a couple of hours being charged for R&R....even tho the shop may know time shortcuts.
