so this is your first car?? you are quite ambitious. i say go for the gs-r [biased]. you say that you want a 94/95 to save money. may i ask how you plan on buying [cash, cash+ finance, finance etc etc] and what are your thoughts on insurance?

thanks for all the replys,
brtecson- i just got a job at costco, gonna be making $11.oo an hour. I used to work at a hospitol and I saved up some cash while I was there, and right now my grandma (nice granny) is giving me $3k towards it. that brings me up 2 $6,500 bucks, plus like $1600 a month steady incom @ my new job..
As for insurance, it might be stupid, but Im going with just basic insurance...Maybe Ill switch to full coverage if I feel I should and if I wont be paying an arm and a leg if I do..But really, I havent even checked out what I'd be paying for basic coverage, But on a car like an integra im thinking $1500-2k on my first year? I really have no clue..but It'll be less than my previous quote on the car I was GOING to be getting, a 95' trans am. They wanted $4k a year. F*ck that sh*t.

as a fair warning, gs-r insurance rates are extremely high in comparison all other 4 cylinder cars.

i dont think that its that stupid to pay only liability. The money that you will save would be better spent on mods. Just avoid accidents

also, consider your car to be a long term project. dont rush

a 12sec car isn't a peice of cake, especially if its a daily driver, and your first car.

keep in mind that your header and intake will not be usable with a turbo. your exhaust will either be good for n/a and suck with a turbo, or be good for a turbo and be VERY loud while your car is still n/a.

as a suggestion: personally, i would go w/ suspension, rims, tires first. just to get a feel of the car and its specific charateristics. then i would worry about being fast. bolt ons like i/h/e/tb will cost you about $1200-1500 and yeild minimal gains compared to forced induction. i'd wait for the turbo and save up in the meantime.

i dont know to much about body kits. hope this helps

i understand what your saying, so first I should take care of everything I plan to do BESIDES the motor..then focus on that, seeing as how thats where Most of the money I put into the car will be going. And I need to make sure that the parts I get will go well with other ones, yata yata...
Thanks for the help bro,

If you just want to go fast in a straight line on the cheap, get a DSM. A few quick mods with relatively little effort will put you solid into the 13's (assuming you have AWD). To get a GSR into the 13's requires an investment of thousands of dollars unless you run nitrous.

Getting either car running 12's is probably going to be beyond your budget.

yeah....no doubt about the budget thing. If i were you i would hit the Dsm forums and scrounge for knowledge. All the guys there will tell you that you are an idiot to go turbo with a gs and will yell at you for not have getting the gs-t or gs-x in the first place because it has a completely different engine. There is only one company that i know of that makes a turbo for the gs because most people start out with a gs-t in the first place if they are looking to tune it. You may recall the green car in the fast and furiouse. That was a gs-t, Mitsubishis holy grail (lol). A good mitsu forum is DSMTALK.com. You will learn a lot there. GL whichever way you go.
