$2-3K is on the upper end of the paint spectrum (at least for stock-colored honda/acuras). $600 is a bit low (You said you wanted it "done right" ) so expect $1000 to be a reasonable price for a good job. It depends if you want your door jams/engine bay/various parts of your car painted as well. Pricing will be slightly different for your area but I named these numbers off the top of my head.

Its gonna be atleast $1500 if you want anything close to a decent job. Thats more of a hookup price IMO. But again, like Shingoblade-GSR said, it depends on what you want painted (door jams, engine bay, etc...) Ask antarius, he had his car painted not long ago i believe.

I'd say a grand - at least in my area.

Know of any good shops in your area? I'm not far from there and I need to get my hood repainted.

Shannon Auto Body in Gaithersburg, MD... they did the work on my old 92 Integra GSR, and it was immaculate. Pristine. Beautiful. Flawless. BUT - I've heard that they are a bit pricey compared to other body shops. I guess you pay for what you get... but they do sometimes have "specials" on a certain color they have too much of, etc. And their prices on full paint jobs I found quite reasonable. I don't have their card anymore, but they have a website - do a search for "Shannon Auto Body" and it'll come up. They have a feature where you can track your car's progress on the net as they complete the work - very cool. They are also excruciatingly honest, which is a big plus. A couple doors down from that is a sad mod shop with lots of neon in the window. They work mostly on trucks... literally, pickup trucks... but they carry lots of Momo gear and other stuff.

Farther North is Restivo Auto Body in Eldersburg, MD. They are also honest and very competant. Maybe not the "artisans" that Shannon is, but still very good.

My maintanence shop, Motor-Works of Rockville, can recommend a good Honda/Acura paint place... they are at 301-424-2800. They're open Monday-Thursday...

I'll ask around, and keep thinking, but those are my prelimary answers.

Default paint

$2-3K is right.... i know where you cant get a paint job for 600-1000 but they wont take all your **** apart... like your fenders, doors, bumper, hood, trunk, etc... if you want a legit clean job.... it'll cost you bank... around the 2 to maybe even 4k range. i konw this because i paint cars. :fawk:
