Its definitely the ABS sound...like a buzz for maybe 3 seconds.

There's nothing you can do short of disabling the system. Im not sure why it comes on other times than just starting up, that happens to me as well. Maybe thats an issue you can address, but the system noise itself isnt going anywhere.

Just know you're not alone. I get it too. And untill now I wasn't positive what it was. But my question has now been answered as well.

If its the ABS, its supposed to do that. It's pumping up the pressure in the accumulator.

If the pressure bleeds down then it has to keep pumping up again & again. That would mean somethings leaking. Mine has to pump itself up every couple days.

Mine does too, most of the time. Don't worry about it unless it has to keep pumping up every half hour while you're still driving. Once I start the car, it only pumps up if the ABS runs; like sliding on the snow.

If I can remember, I'll look up in my Helms book tonight. Maybe there's something about how fast the pressure can bleed down before you have to fix it...

We changed my brakes on the back, and my dad suggested to bleed the system at the abs box. So we tried it. It started making that clacking noise like ya'll are talking about. so we looked at it and it says to fill it with dot 3 or dot 4. there is a small plug on the plastic top where you fill it up at. Take your finger nail and pop off the little small round lid. then fill it up. once we did that it stop making that noise. i would suggest trying that.

now my problem is my abs light is on cause it needs to be reset. i do not know how to reset it except pull the fuse and then put it back in. if so which fuse and where?
