I have a set of Tech One HID's in my Integra.

It's pretty cold here, but my HID's have been through 3 winters now.

Anyways, when I turn it on, the passenger bulb ignites, then just fades out. It will ignite everytime I turn them on, only to fade out within seconds after.

Any ideas?

 

Sounds like bulb on it's way out. 9006?

Oooh, that's very tempting, I have 6000k's right now.

I'll switch the bulbs tonight hopefully and see whether it's the ballast or the bulb and let you know .

 

shit dude i might have my old 4300k hid when i crashed my integra. i had one left cuz i broke the driver side and kept the passenger side as a momento. ill see if i can find it somewhere

 

my right side 6000k bulb took a dump the other day.

I only had a second under the hood. From what I could tell, the driver side would ignite and stay on. The passenger side, you could hear the igniter click, then it would just sort of fade off with the light.

 

I have the same set with 2 6000k bulbs and 1 5000k bulb that was on my Integra. Wanna buy the set in case a ballast blew?

 

Sounds like a bad ballest. Had an issue like that before n it was my ballast.

Looks like you were right!

Do people typically replace both bulbs when one goes out? Is there an issue with one being a different color, etc?
