Do people typically replace both bulbs when one goes out? Is there an issue with one being a different color, etc?
unless you know what the direct cause of the 1st bulb going out was, I wouldnt necessarily worry about the 2nd one. but if u do, can i have the other "good" one?

I looked around and it seems like no one is actively selling Tech One kits anymore.

I'm quite concerned about purchasing another bulb and it not fitting. I talked to someone who used to sell Tech One kits, but now sells "JD Lighting." They had their own kits made and quite selling Tech One. Here is the link: www.jdlightings.com

They will sell me a pair of 9006's 35W 6000k' for $35 shipped :eek3:. They also have 50W bulbs. I'm kind of confused now h:. What wattage should I get .

Paolo, I just got a set of 9006 HID's shipped on eBay for $25.00.

Also bought some 9005 Silverstar Super Ultra's for $24.50 shipped .

I can PM you the info if you'd like.

Late on this, but think the info is helpful to others:

Typically most kits are 35w. The newer kits offer 50w (which IMO, is overkill).

You'll need 35w bulbs for 35w ballasts. I wouldn't mix and match those.

With bulbs, usually it's best to replace both if one go out. 99% of the time, the colors won't match if you change just one.

At the prices that kits/bulbs are going for now, it's more affordable to just replace an entire kit!

:goodjob:

Although, considering I got my set of bulbs for $25, it's pretty affordable to just replace the bulbs.

Also, here is the connector my bulbs use, they call it an AMP connector:

hey bro, the bulbs might be burning out fast because your ballast isnt getting a stable current draw. did you use plug and play or take some extra time and wire it with one or 2 relays?

The kit has been in use for almost 4 years with no issues.

It's strictly plug and play.

well if it works then great, but if you want to keep those ballast for another while, wire up 2 relays to power the ballast and they will simply allow longer life and no flicker.
