i think i figured out whats wrong with my code 22

Your oil pump is probably fine. This sounds like a wiring problem. I can scan the troubleshooting guide for a code 22 in the Helms and email it to you if you'd like.
Oh, and if the ECU is throwing a code 22 VTEC is automatically disabled so you don't have to worry about the pins getting messed up. Honda designed a few failsafes into the system.

hmm.something must be wrong then cause my vtec stays on,but i do get a rev limiter at 6400(actually i was an a$$ to my motor and pushed it realllllllllll hard, and now it sets the rev limiter at 74 instead of 64)
ya could you please send that guide from your helms,it would probaly help alot, thank you

Are you sure VTEC engaged? You could have felt the manifold switching over to the secondary runners. I'm relatively certain that you get a limp mode which cancels VTEC engagement and lowers the limiter. Whatever you do, be gentle on the thing for now. I'll get to scanning those pages from the helms.

ok,thanx.
my car is always on limp mode(slow, runs VERY rich) but the light is only on sometimes, here this is a thread from another site(i'm trying to get help from anyone i can, this is driving me crazy) it explains what happens-
i have a 95 gsr and i have been having a problem with my car for months now.months ago, when i bought it,it was throwing a code 22(vtec pressure switch or variable valve timing)and to this day i have not been able to figure out the problem.the car is slower than it should be with 85,000 miles on it, and when vtec(second stage-5800)kicks in it hardly pulls any harder,i actually knocked 2 tenths of a second of my 1/8 mile time by shifting at 6400 instead of 7900rpms.now so far i have replaced my vtec pressure switch, replaced my vtec soleniod, replaced my ecu with 2 other p72 ecu's,checked all wires(and all of the grounds),checked oil,and other things i can't think of right now.for a while i thought that my oil pressure was dropping causing the pressure switch to set the code 22,but then i realized if the oil pressure dropped then wouldn't the pins go back into the middle rocker arm and vtec would cut off(my vtec allways stays on when it's suppossed to though).
what happens by the way is i will be driving/racing and if i stay in vtec for to long,ex:tach to 8 in first, tach to 8 in second, then in third at like 7000 all of a sudden my check engine light comes on and puts a rev limiter on my car at like 64-7000,then i can restart my car ind the light will be gone, and it will come on again if i stay in vtec to long again.
sorry for this being so long, but i need help, anyone have any ideas?
oh and recently my car started throwing codes 16 and 41 also,16-fuel injection system/41-oxygen heater sensor.i don't know the problem with these are yet either,i'm guessing i need to replace my o2 sensor, maybe the o2 sensor is bad setting my fuel injectors on a default mode wich causes the code 16?
thanx for any info/help,
dan

well i got ahold of an oil pressure guage today.i took the bolt off the block and hooked it up at normal operating temp.i revved the car to 3000/5000,nothing,i disconnected the vtec soleniod connector and put a wire going from it to the positive batery terminal.i then revved the motor to 5000 rpms and held it for a few seconds, the oild pressure went to 35psi the started dropping to like 30-27 psi.my haynes(to poor for helms yet) manual says that the oil pressure at that engine speed should have been above 57psi.
i don't know what to do know,my thoughts are oil pump? crankshaft bearings? i don't know.
