header wrap on intake?

Hey thanks crash,I was only going by what the guy at the shop said/recommended.It is alot cheaper to use the wraps vs. sending out to be re-coated.I might look into that.Thanks again.

Are you talking wrapping the intake pipe or intake manifold? The best stuff I've seen (at the track) for either application is the reflective type foil tape that obviously reflects heat away from the intake components.

I believe intake temperature was a problem that Honda solved when they came out with the K20. Now they've put the intake at the front of the motor where it recieves more cold air. And put the exhaust on the back as to not blow hot air over the motor.

Anyway, either header wrap or the reflective tape will work to protect your intake from excess heat.
