Sounds like a decent enough excuse to go out and get some poly bushings to me.

i had the same problem when i was putting on my new springs and shocks. I got one of the bolts loose but the other one the head busted off and so i torched the whole bushing out but they did not sell that bushing so i had to buy a whole new control arm. damn that was a long sentence.

i assume you're talking about the damper bolts. had to drill them out.. both of them.

nothing worked.. not an impact wrench.. not a breaker bar.. not praying.. the bolt was pretty much fused to the bushing.

I'm going through the same problem right now but instead of a sway bar I'm putting on a rear lower tie bar.I tried earlier in the fall to get it apart with no luck so I went ahead and ordered new bushings and bolts for when I try again in the spring(my car's in storage right now).

Its a known proble with the 3rd gen teg. Worse case scenario cut the bolt and have a new bushing pressed in the LCAs
