I need a new starter. I've pulled out my Haynes manual, and looked up how to replace the starter, but when I open up my hood I can't determine where the starter is. The pictures in Hayne's are vague, and I think the car they based the manual off of is a GSR. Is the GSR different?

your manual doesn't have a pic of the starter? i've never serviced mine but I believe it's on the back of the engine, on the passenger side. Looks like a cylinder. If you know that itturns the flywheel, that helps because you probably know where the flywheel is. If you don't, well it's between the engine and transmission (although technically it's part of the engine). So I hope i helped as much as possible short of taking a picture of it.
