Aem intake

You can't buy it with the bypass valve. You have to saw your nice new intake pipe in half to install the valve. Unless you plan on driving through a lot of standing water just skip it.
Well that is, as long as you don't have some kind of pipe-sawing fetish. :ugh:

Cox Import
I got mine from these guys for $174 shipped. I think you have to cut the intake to install the bypass valve. It took about 2 hours to install the intake, but I ran into some problems that you probably wouldn't have to worry about.

Is it worth the chance of not getting it? I would be worried about hydrolock. You never know when you may encounter standing water.

i have an aem cai, and i now wish i had gone comptech instead. i have not hydrolocked but i have such bad luck with my car it scares the sh!t out of me when it rains. i would have gotten a comptech pipe and probaly a hks filter to make a short ram instead. but i do love the whistle my aem makes.
they are very easy to install(make sure you don't accidently pull on coolant lines though)
wana buy mine

I don't know about you guys in so cal....but I never had any problems with mine when I owned my teg.
I guess getting the bypass valve would be a good investment and it'll give you peace of mind.
As far as installing it...it should take you about 30 min or so....not too hard. Do yourself a favor though if you get the bypass valve....MEASURE and MARK before cutting....hehehe
