Usually higher end headunits have separate wires for amplifier turn on and antenna. Alpines do.

Any thoughts on that one?

when i had my clarion HU, the antenna always went up whenever the HU was on. radio, cd, whatever. i went in behind the HU, found the blue (i believe it had a white stripe on it too) wire, and hooked up a switch for it. the blue/white wire controls whether or not your antenna goes up. at first i cut it and my antenna never went up, but eventually i hooked up a switch for it so i could make the antenna go up at will whenever i wanted to hear the radio.

i guess the yellow/green wire works too, but nonetheless i just worked with the blue/white wire on my 98 teg.

any ideas on what else the blue/white wire does? since the yellow/green wire seems to be the antenna wire according to team-integra... lol. OR maybe it depends on the brand of HU you have. because i bought a wiring harness to make the installation of my clarion HU easier. maybe the blue/white wire on the clarion/acura wiring harness was for the antenna while the yellow/green wire dictates what the antenna does on the stock HU? just speaking my thoughts...
