ls vtec on an automatic?

It is possible. All you need is a JDM auto ecu w/ the Auto Tranny Control. The ATC will change the shift points and the VTEC ecu w/ allow for the VTEC head to be ran on the LS bottom, only problem is finding an aftermarket ecu chip that will still allow the use of the AUTO ecu and delete knock sensor. Hell, I chip ecus and can't think of a program, unless you can get an auto P28 ecu and chip that...that might work.

in other countries they auto dohc vtec engines have milder cams and a less agressive ecu
i think it could work of course but you would need to have a auto ecu chipped, also i think your gas mileage would suffer but then who cares if your fast
sound a like a good idea, tell us how it goes

The transmission code only tells you what the housing is. For example, all 92-93 Integras have a YS1 transmission. The B18A cars have tall gears just like every other non-VTEC B18 car out there. The B16A and B17A cars however, have very very very short gears. 5th gear turns over 4600 RPM at 80 mph.

slap on a vtec controller, run a type r head and call it a day. While everyone is shifting at mid 60s in there manuals losing power to third bring the ls vtec auto to 70mph(2nd)and rip them apart. Think about it. all stock ls's jump on stock gsr's to about 15mph. Now imagine it you had a vtec controller tmed at mid rpm range and a type r head with a 9,000 rpm limit. can we say bad a@#
