Bah. I disagree with LT6916.
Not to say Redline doesnt make a great product, I prefer putting in what the Honda Engineers designed the car for, which is ATF.

I'd drain the oil. Put in 2.9 quarts of Honda ATF and run the car for 10-15 min. Then come back in, drain it again and refill it with 2.9 more quarts of Honda ATF.

Honda ATF and Redline ATF... what are the differences in these two brands?

Supposedly Redline has improved on the stock ATF fluid -- but Honda tested and designed their tranny's with the Honda ATF so I'd go for that.

I think Redline is more synthetic or something so it "lasts longer"

its synthetic meaning...its thinner and has LESS viscosity than OEM ATF...however being thinner, it MAY have less coating on the gears. However, this is Redline we're talking about...they design things better than Honda.

Take it down to the Lube Center and pay for a transmission flush. Your transmission will drive like new. Seriously, you will be impressed with the improved shifting.

Good call TTZ... the lube boys will replace all the fluid in the transmission including whats in the torque converter that you normally can't drain. 100% replacement of fluid.

What the other guys are recommending a double drain and fill is for the same reason, can't drain the torque converter but try to displace as much old fluid as possible.

The lube boys can do a better job with their equipment.

i'm running redline MTL in mine and it's dandy. shifts are smoother. a lot of people say no to synthetic, but mine is holding up fine.
