high RPM shift

well thats how it seemed for me at first but it doesn't happen anymore. maybe you just haven't gotten a feel for the car yet. it might help to push a little to the left and down when shifting so it knows you want to go into second. i dont know, just try it and see if that helps at all.

Check tranny fluid....also you might want to check out your synchros (yeah? no? help me out fatbooty...)
When I'm shifting at 8000 rpm very quickly I have a bad tendency to grind (car is at 40k miles), but it's definitely something that has come up as the car ages.

TRANSMISSION FLUSH! Take it to the Lube Center or Pep Boys and have them do a 100% transmission flush. If that doesn't clear it up, you are looking at a transmission rebuilt=new syncros=expensive!

I'm having prob's too
got a 97 integra ls and whenever I'm in first gear at about 7k rpms and go into second, it grinds for a split second then continues on it's way. I shift fast, but am pretty sure I have the petal down far enough. I just hate to waste time on shifting when during normal driving I never grind.
