Have you guys seen the new Honda Tuning magazine ?Supposedly they did some tests on intakes on an RSX, and the AEM cold air intake added 20 freakin HP !!!!! Also the DC intake added 19 HP ! I know that different engines respond differently to upgrades, but DAMN, 20 hp for 200 $..........not bad at all !!

How the hell does that K series get 20 hp, while B series engines get a noticeably lower gain ? What is it about that RSX engine ??

 

the factory airbox sucks and it has more displacement.
more displacement means more hp/upgrade.

correct me if i'm wrong.

not again.... intakes do not add 20hp.. its a combo thing that gives you hp.. for example INTAKE and EXHAUST and HEADERS will give you like 20hp if your lucky.. theres no way if you slap on a intake it will give you 20hp. If there is, theres something I am missing here..

 

K series dude...cold airs made by companies like AEM and injen were giving them huge numbers...

and its "header" not "headers". 4 cyl only have one, man.

bullsh*t. i bet AEM is hooked up with the Primedia publishing group (as A LOT of manufacturers are with magazine companies). no way that sh*t gets 20hp from an extra metal tube with a K&N filter... if that was true, then with an intake alone, the RSX-S should be putting down 200hp TO THE WHEELS...... and yet the Toda Racing RSX-S with cams/flywheel/Intake/Header/Exhaust/race tires/race wheels/clutch musters up a weeny 14.6?!?! :down: yeah right. if the intake gives 20hp, the Toda RSX should putting down what 300hp to the wheels? :bs:

 

werd. if you see ads in the mag for that company. think twice about the tests that involve those products.

 

only thing that truely gives 20hp like that would be...itbs or something
