Default Whats up guys

Hey everyone...I'm new to these forums... anyway to cut straight to the chase.....
I'm pretty familiar with cars, I've wanted one for quiet a while....anyway I ended up buying a Ford Explorer at the last minute (dont ask me why) instead of the integ....but now that the ford broke down on me I am selling it....
Anyway I wanted to know, if there was a big difference between the 93's and under and the 94's and up besides the change in the body style.. Ive been looking around for some, and the prices really drop when you get into the 93's.....I dont have anymore than about 6,500$$ to spend, so I was going to ask you guys your opinion on what I should get........
a reply would greatly be appreciated.....
thanks

The 94+ have much more aftermarket support (well, at least it's easier to find parts for them just on account of numbers).

If you can find a gen2 gsr then go for it, those are real gems.

I'll leave it up to someone more knowledgeable to cover the nitpicky differences.

btw, before I had my 99' teg, I was cruising around in a gen1 sedan h: . That was some hotness

There are quite a bit of differences. The engine is a little more updated, though basically identical... the body style is different, if im not mistaken the suspension components and what you can get for them are different. etc.

You should be able to find a '94 LS or maybe even a GS-R for $6,500.
I'd go for an LS so you don't have to settle for an extremely high milaged GS-R.

alright thanks for the reply guys........but i dont think ill be getting a GS-R........with any car i get , only because the insurance is wayyyy high on it...i think it was like 210 a month...so i think ill either end up going with the 93 GS or LS or a 94 LS....
whatever i like better, i think im gonna test drive them both

94+ RS, LS, GS...

Go for one of those.
RS == Lightest and with the least amount of options. (The only teg without a sun roof, except the type-r). (Power everything for mine)
LS == Step up w/ sun roof and power everything
GS == Yet another step up with the option of leather and such.

Oh, RS == No ABS.

If you're not getting the gsr, definitely go for a 94+ RS or LS (I'm leaning towards the RS).

Forget power everything (thieves love power lockz!).

RS = Lighter with the same engine. It's a very competent engine at that. You're going to have a slightly more difficult time finding parts for the gen2's just judging from the "Where can I find parts for mah 92 LS" posts. There are at least 5 different turbo kits for the 94+ RS/LS.

So then LS or RS is for you.
Cause they're cheap.
