Default SiR (B16A) vs. GSR (B18?) Engine

I was just wondering about the differences between these 2. I know the B16A has the same hp as the GSR (forgot engine code), but do they differ any? Is one better than the other? The reason I am asking is because someone is selling a GSR with the B16A swap in it, and I was wondering if I should get it or hold out for a GSR with the stock one. Thanks.

b16 does not make as much hp. b16 has less torque.

Hold out for a stock GSR. Here's why:

GSR is B18C by the way. It's 1.8 liters as opposed to 1.6 for the B16a. B18C makes 170 hp in USDM trim and B16a makes 160 in usdm trim

Thank you kind sir. LittleTimmy, you helped too. I am not doing this swap, so by saying "idiot" (and moron, and every other word), you are not insulting anyone. I asked the question because the guy said that it was identical to the B18C and I thought that that sounded strange, so I checked to make sure.

The b16a in a heavy integra is a waste of money and time. It's even more torqueless than our b18's. If you're going to put a smaller engine in, it better have wankel/rotary stamped all over it.

I don't think people are giving the engine enough credit though...a b16a hatch is more than competent on a road course.

I agree.....B16 is inferior to our B18s, but the engine does have some balls.
