Well, actually; I don't know how it works there in Chicago.

Here, in CA. You pay for a test to get done, which is like $20 and then if you pass you pay another $10.00 and they print that test out and walla, you got smog.

That's the average price anyway. We dont have state ran smog places that offer a free test and charge you for a smog; it's all up to us here to get our crap done from a place and not get ripped off.

So, maybe you can't get it tested anywhere else in Chicago, I don't know.

Haha, that is quite the understatement :thumbup:

Just get a hi-flo cat and keep it on. Straight-pipe sounds like @zz IMO.

Since you're in chicago I would think the rules are a bit more relaxed versus here in CA. After all, this is the state where the Supra TT was deemed smog illegal STOCK.

here theres just this central garage type setup just made for the testing...theres about 8 garages lined up and u just wait inline and pull in and they do their thing...i know i failed some part of the monocarbons or something like that which the legal limit was like .8 or .6, and i came out with 2.1....thats no good...i think im running way to rich and plus theres no cat to break that **** down....im gonna prolly genk my moms cat and then put the test back on, then in a lil bit buy the high flow...how much would a c/s high flow go for, bout 200 right?

Yeah, about $200 is a good guess.

Damn, .8?
Here in CA it's .1 or .01 I forget which.
I know I passed with 0.010 though. (If it's 0.1)... I could have 10x teh emissions and would have still passed.

CA = strict.
