Same situation here, lowered 2" and have to drive it in the winter for the first time. At least I have a garage and my '97 stock rims and tires have 3k on them. Never should have sold my winter beater but oh well.

Either way not looking forward to pulling the 17's off and battling the snow in NY.

I also live in mississauga, (a suburb 10 min west of Toronto for all you americans), I dropped my car on koni's and H&R sports  ...even if I could, theres no way I'd raise it for the winter..what for? We only have about 2 or so "real" snow days a year anyway, the rest of the time the roads are perfect. Simply take it easy or don't go out if we get a huge snow storm, and you'll be fine...Besides, last winter wasn't even really a winter, and apparently this year its not going to get colder than -5 Celcius.. so I wouldn't worry about it.

PS: however, winter tires are a must if you got z-rated low profiles on now.
