Don't quote me on this, but I think the true coilover type-suspensions require the dual-perch/wrench adjustment method.

Ground Control heavily advertises their "one-perch" adjustment method.

My Tein SS have the dual perch. One to adjust and one to lock it. I haven't adjusted them yet since I've had them but I assume you just have to raise the car so you can get to them. For the front, I might have remove the wheels.

For some decent winter tires that aren't very expensive, go to your local Canadian Tire and buy a set of 4 Nordic Icetrac tires. They are quiet, S-speed rated and work well on snow and ice. They could have a little more grip when turning on snow/ice but one should probably be careful anyway.

I've had mine for two years and haven't ever been stuck (except for the time the plow went by and I tried to drive through a foot high bank of packed snow... just had to get out and clear a path for the front tires and afterwards I was good to go.)
