Nitrous questions??

Nitrous questions??
I have a integra ls with dc intake, dc headers, apexi full cat and hi flow catalytic converter and was thinking next step to get nitrous. I was looking into Jackson but for only 30 hp, it is not worth it. I was also thinking about ls/vtec but dont really want to do anything that i wont be able to fix (or take back off). I was thinking a 75 shot but dont really know if wet or dry and if 75 is too much. I just think, for the money, it is the best route to go. Also, would it be alright to get a JET chip installed to mess with the fuel curve? or should i stay away from that. Let me know what you think.

For a beginner kit..
.Go with a ZEX Nitrous Kit. You can't go really wrong. 50-60 shot just get a step colder plugs and you'll be 100% fine.
If you go to a 75, you may need to adjust your timing a tad, but not much (ask dubster for exact info).
I recommend the ZEX because it checks your fuel pressure and adjusts flow accordingly, so you dont lean out; it also ties into your ECU so its easy as hell to install on your own.

For a 75 shot or less, the Zex kit is the best out there. It automatically adjusts the added fuel pressure based on the pressure of the nitrous, that way the a/f mixture is always good...not too rich, not too lean. I personally don't like single fogger wet kits, where there is one nozzle in the intake that sprays fuel and nitrous. Most people think they are automatically safer because they add fuel, but they really aren't. The fuel can easily puddle in the intake manifold and ignite, causing a nitrous backfire in the intake tract. I've seen a few cars catch on fire from this...I also don't like the idea of fuel spraying through my intake pipe and throttle body. As for the chip, stay away from it. The way those chips make power is by advancing ignition timing, and this is not good with nitrous/boost. On a 75 shot you'll probably need to retard your ignition timing about 2-3 degrees, maybe less. Set it at 3 degrees retarded, make a pass, and check your plugs. If they look good, add a degree, and do it again. I've known people to run a 75 shot on stock timing. As for plugs, you want ngk coppers...if you're gonna go 75 shot, get the 2 step colder 8 series plug to be safe, and gap it at .030"...that should do it.

I am running a 75 shot on my GSR. I did not have to retard the timing or use colder plugs. I have gone through one bottle already and the plugs look fine. I think it depends on which type of kit you get and the car. I have the NOS plate kit.

ive been interested in n2o for the longest time... but one thing i still need to ask.
1. where can i find out if its legal where i live.. or is it illigal everywhere?(to use it on the streets i mean)
2. can i put the bottle right beside my sub-woofer in the back?.. or will the constant pounding disturbe the bottle.. or even blow it up?!?!
thanx
