Alright, lets say i decided to get a ZEX 65 shot, what is the worst thing that could happen to my engine, and how much would it cost to fix? And, if i decide after i buy it that i need to sell it, is it real hard to take back off? .........one more, how much would you pay for the kit?

 

Worst thing - blow your motor
cost - a fair bit
Fairly easy to put in and out
not sure of the prices in the US Im canadian, ....eh. (im sure that was expected so I added it)

 

Blow your motor, huh? Well, i dont know if you know (or if anyone else does) but does it happen alot? The mechanic that installed my headers said that he did not recommend nitrous because he gets most of his work from blown motors from nitrous. However, if it only happens to people who do not run it correctly then i would want to get it. But it is my daily driver so if there is a good chance that i would blow my motor i think Jackson Racing would be a better choice, not as much hp but a little safer.

 

you're right in that people who use it incorrectly blow there motors. people running 100 shot on there stock motor and then start badmouthing nitrous. :slap:

its all in how you tune it.

 

Everyone that i know has blown their motor with nitrous.
There was eric in the 240,50 shot, blew his motor after having it on for 3 hours. -zex dry kit, stock internals 170k miles on the car.
Mike in his 2001 celica gts, NOS WET KIT, blew it up coming back from nopi in pigion forge. 38k miles on his car, but void under warranty b/c of the nitrous. Happened about 5 days after he uped the shot to 75. I guess that pos celica motor just couldn't handle it.
Gabe in his 92 honda prelude blew it up. Took about 6 months was running a 50 shot.
then there was another guy in his 92 integra he was on a 50 shot, stock internals and blew his motor. took about 3 months.
John in his crx never blew up his motor. He was on a 50 shot for about a year and then sold the nitrous. He has lost compression now or something, and now his all motor car is twice as slow as it was originally off the bottle.
thats 4 out of 5 people that blew there motor on the bottle. I don't really know anybody that was able to use the nitrous w/o taking a lot of life out of their car. Theres this other dude that has a GS-R, i don't really now him that well but i now he was on the bottle at one time and i raced him in my gs-r and blew him away.
I would personally like to put my teg on the bottle, but i don't know anyone around here that nows how to safely spray. Or is there a safe way?
