Default Tail Light's Acting Funky

I have a 96' LS, and the left reverse light doesn't come on at all, but more importantly my left brake light works fine normally, but when the headlights are on and I apply the brake, my whole left tail light goes out, but the right works perfectly fine..

There was a lot of water which we cleaned and I dont think it's the bulbs..

Too test if it's the bulbs are faulty put the ones from the left tail light into the right one since that works. If the bulbs work then they're fine. Also check for any fuses blown due to there being water in the tails. Do you have someone looking at your tail lights while you're in the car?

Yeah my dad's outside looking, he's a mechanic, and he figures it's probably a short, and might wire the brake lights from the right lens to the left and the same with the reverse..

Just wondering if this was a common/easily fixable problem :P

Not common atleast to me. I've owned (still currently do) 3 integras over the past 6 years and never heard of this problem. Your dad shouldn't have to wire everything over. Just check all fuses and connections. Did this just happen or did you just buy the car and figured this problem out?

Well we just bought the car, and we knew it did this when i bought it (a 96 LS for 2k was hard to find considering thats how much 90' LS's go for around here, and there's not many!) but this is the ONLY problem (aside a few dings I'll have no problem getting out)

We checked the fuses and all the bulbs, the tail light was full of water so we drained it, and dried it, and it still acts the same.. so we think its the wiring and we don't wanna take the whole car apart unless we have to (which we might to get the rear speakers in anyway >_<)

oh...no i didn't.. I'm gonna go run outside and check right now

i still think its from water leaking into the housing and rusting/shorting the bulbs.. im gonna try new tails or the wiring idea but first BE RIGHT BACK

You need a wiring diaghram and a short finder(tool for finding shorts). And this short is hapenning between the brake switch wire all the way to the taillightwires that is not working once the brake is depressed. You could also trace the wires and look for ones that are abviously pierced by a screw or even stripped wires contacting the frame and shorting b+ to ground.
