its a periodical (sp) light...it comes on after so many miles...

there is a square button under your dash above your knee, hold that button in while you start your car. it should go away.

its there to tell you that its time to change your oil at the dealers.

Default push and hold

Just push and hold the button until light goes off. Sometimes as long as 30 seconds. No problem on exceeding redline. Almost a daily occurence for me. 175000 miles and counting.

i would maybe suggest checking the fuses. I had a similar problem where i took apart the dash and when i put it back together some of the lights on the guages were flashing. AFter though when i replaced some of the fuses it everything worked perfectly.

it has nothing to do with the fuses... it comes on every so many thousand miles... just push the button above your right knee as everyone else mentions, while your car is on, and it will go away.

Default Button under Dash

Isn't this covered in the manual?

Yes, it's in your service manual.

There's a button right under the steering column, kind of on the right side.
It's a small square button.
Put the key in, hold the button, and turn the key to the ACC setting.

It will go away.
