My guess would be that your exhaust valves are set way too tight

So, I pulled the exhaust cam out so the valves would all be in a closed position no matter what. The air is building pressure now and no longer escaping through the valves... Thank god, they aren't bent But I am assuming I will need to adjust the valves or rockers so the cam isn't pressing them open continuously... Does anyone know where in the helms manual the procedure is for doing this. Even if I can get it close enough to start the car and take it to get it tuned, that would be lovely. Thanks to everyone on this forum, you guys rock.

Just follow the procedure listed in timing belt install, or camshaft install. Probably under "cylinder head". Then look under "Valve Lash Adjustment".

And be 100% positive your timing belt is on there correctly, if its not you could be loosing air/fuel on the compression stroke.

Good luck!

Adjusted the valves, finished off the last few things I had on my list and it now starts. It also sounds insane with all my new parts Thanks to all of you!
