Built or Bought?
I am just tryn to see how many fellow teg owners either built, or bought their cars. I understand that we ALL bought our cars, BUT.. Who bought and built, or who bought already built.. Or did you buy it built and swap out parts..
Car: 92 RS
Built or bought: Built
Why?: Im no biter

i bought my teg bone stock pre-owned from the dealer. so thats built
the 240 needed shitloads of maintenance and parts replaced, so nothing performance oriented except some suspension tidbits and tires. stereo system was all me too.
evo had hotchkis springs, tint, evo 7 tails, stubby antenna, evo 9 bov when i got it. oddly enough, these were mods i would have done myself if the car were bone stock. oh well, i've done way more since i got it...

Built mine, but I certainly wouldn't call it a real project.
It's just chassis, suspension and some bolt-ons.h:
I had grandiose plans when I first bought her, but college and smog laws got in the way.
Nowadays, I'm totally disgusted with what has happened to most of the import "scene".
(Also, I hate using that term to describe it.)
So whether anything else happens with the Integra is very much in doubt.

Ah, it is sad these days.. Mostly every teg in San Anto is crap on wheels.. unpainted body kits.. Spraypainted rims.. Farty muffler tips.. and last but not least.. VTEC tuning logo's on non vtec cars.. But dont get me wrong, there is an import meet at Sonic drive in every wensday, and the few tegras that show(2g anyway) look awsome.. Infact, If I go tonight, I will take pics.. I have never been, Only passed by on the way home..
Ooh, here we go..
2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Bought (2 tone, Cf hood, dropped)
Built (Greddy Evo CB, CAI, Clutch, Powder coated stock rims, Strut bars)
that was recently sold, Acura pulled me back into its clutches

Werd, San Antonio cars bring the suck. I haven't seen anything remotely appealing since I came back in August.
I've built 2 cars personally, a 93 mustang and my Integra.
Integra - Just rebuilt the motor in hopes of 400 whp, forged internals, Headwork, clutch, new OEM everything else, and a few other misc. things. Prepped for turbo but I have yet to finish piecing together everything I need. It needs a paint job in the worst way and I plan on doing that before I start driving it on a regular basis.
The mustang was a lost cause, did a minor street build on the motor and blew it up shortly there after. Sold for $700.
I've had a few other cars but nothing seriously modded.

What is your definition of built?
Acura built it, I just put a turbo kit on it and called it a day. I hardly call that building.
It was bone stock when I bought it, though. h:

i haven't officially built the teg yet still amassing parts to do the turbo, but almost there maybe another year and i'll be able to break her down and finish. but for my other vehicle i took my 98 v6 rodeo and converted it from a two wheel drive to four and lifted it 3" put some a/t tires on it. that was a fun project... would love to get the supercharger kit for it, but the teg is next on my priority list!
