Default Wheels too big?

Hey, guys, I have a question. I usually use 205-45-17 tires on wheels. Recently I decided to try 215-45-17. Bad mistake. Now everytime my car goes over bumb or ditch, the right/rear wheel rubs on fender.

Can I raise my car to avoid it? Will coilovers help?

Thank you
Yuriy

I wouldn't have gone with 215's, they will work, but it's just overly wide for an Integra.

You're running into the problem on the series being 45, you should have gone with 205/40/17.

With 205/40/17's lowered 1.5" I only rubbed on the front wheels when I had the steering wheel cranked all the way.

17" hmm.. if your riding stock height, you should not have this problem.. Inless your shocks are shot to hell. If there is already a drop How low is it ?.. Coil overs COULD help, But make sure your shocks are good, other wise, you will just end up with crappy ride quality with new coil overs, and that isnt cool.

But its JUST the right rear ??.. so Id say check your shocks out.

No, the raise is still stock. I did not lower the car.

As far as other whells, it would rub a little if I would crank steering wheel all the way right/left.

Do you think I should replace shocks?

No way to cure this but to replace your tires with the correct size ones.

Gorilla Lift:chuckles: ..You know, what the over eccentric gangsta's do to their lac's when 22" rims are just not big enough

::Edit:: that wasnt helpful.. sorry, Check out your shocks, I am no wheel and tire expert, But I think if there is ANY possibility it could be anything OTHER Than wrong tire size, check shocks. Other wise, Lose the oversize tires sir.

Usually when a shock is blown it doesn't affect the ride height, thats what I've always seen.

Even though the problem occurs when he hits bumps ?.. I understand due to the spring ride height will not genrally be affected by a blown shock, and just for my own knowledge.. If I have a blown shock, will that one tire have more of a chance to hit my fender when I hit bumps ?..

Im not tryin to steal this thread or anything heh, Just gaining knowledge.

Just sayin, if he rules out the shock as a problem. I guess his problems solved then huh ?.. I hope so anyway, I have never had a rubbing problem before, I know ppl who have, and it sucks !
