Wheels too big?

Right, but it won't absorb the rebound of the spring and the resulting bounce will cause things to bottom out.

The diameter of the 205's is 24.3" and the diameter pf the 215's is 24.6". So the height shouldn't be a big problem. The width is only a touch wider, so it should be hitting the fender lip only, correct? If so, maybe you can just roll the fender with a baseball bat to give you the needed clearance.

Precisely, the shock wouldn't be able to absorb the blow of the bump when it's blown. Also, you will notice the wheel bouncing up and down over bumps for an extended period of time.
Since it's just the RR wheel, I would check your bushings and suspension components on that side and compare them to the ones on the LR side to see if anything is bent or if yolu have a blown bushing.

I have never rolled a fender lip, so I can't comment on how hard it is or if it will even cure your problem. If it is just the right side, why? Like Mr. Poonani says, maybe you have something worn out on the right side and that's why it's only rubbing there. I would take a close look at your lower control arm bushings, upper control arm (compensating arm) bushings and rear trailing arm bushings. Make sure your shocks and springs are good. Take some measurements and compare to the left side. If you don't find anything out of line, you want to keep the larger tires and the tire is only hitting the fender on the lip, then yes, I would roll the fenders.

no offense to you people who have rolled the lips of the fenderwell, but that's just retarded IMHO. The only time i would ever roll the lip would be on my race car and that's just b/c the car gets beat up plenty by the other drivers. rolling the lip is just an accident waiting to happen especially with someone who hasn't done it b4. if you're not careful it will come out looking like pure CRAP!

I have 215-45-17 and the car is dropped to where the fenders are flush with the tires. Only rubs when wheel is cranked all the way in a direction and never rubs from just driving over speed bumps or anything. I have 5 way adjustable illuminas in the front and 4 way kyb agx in rear.
